Sony Bravia XBR KDL-55XBR8 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz Triluminos LED LCD HDTV

The Sony BRAVIA XBR8-Series HDTVs represent the next step forward for Sony HDTV technology. Underpinning this advance is the TRILUMINOS RGB Dynamic LED backlight, which utilizes clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs to produce accurate colors and an amazingly realistic image, and employs local dimming to dynamically adjust the brightness of LED clusters, allowing the XBR8 to display deep blacks alongside bright whites for enhanced image depth and exceptional shadow detail. Motionflow 120Hz PRO technology creates new frames to double the frame rate, then uses sequential scanning to enhance motion and deliver a smoother and clearer picture, and 24p True Cinema lets you experience a cinema-like experience. BRAVIA XBR8-Series HDTVs also feature the powerful BRAVIA Engine 2 PRO fully digital video processor, which creates sharp, crystal-clear images at any resolution, as well as advanced color reproduction technologies including 10-bit processing and a 10-bit panel, Live Color Creation, and x.v.Color capability. DMex functionality lets you expand the capabilities of the BRAVIA XBR8-Series with optional BRAVIA Link modules, including the BRAVIA Internet Video Link, BRAVIA Wireless Link, BRAVIA DVD Link, and BRAVIA Input Link (all sold separately). In addition, the exclusive Xross Media Bar (XMB) user interface, integrated TV Guide Interactive Program Guide, and BRAVIA Sync one-touch component control make the BRAVIA XBR8-Series HDTVs easy to use, and the large number of inputs offer you a wide range of connectivity options. BRAVIA XBR8-Series HDTVs also feature an RS-232C connection for integration into home automation systems. You can even customize the timeless design of the BRAVIA XBR8-Series by adding optional speaker grilles available in a selection of designer colors (sold separately).
Customer Review: Brilliant, but at a cost!
Not really sure if it was worth all that money, but the picture is brilliant. With my PS3 playing Bluray, this TV is the best! Am absolutely satisfied. The only thing I saw was, it took sometime (couple of seconds) to change inputs. Not sure if it was due to my Denon receiver or the TV itself. Sometimes it is a bit annoying, and also when we switch the inputs, the top information about the signal selection stays for a few seconds which I felt was again a bit annoying.
Customer Review: Wait before you buy.
I bought this TV more than a week ago. Here are my reviews: Pros: Picture quality: BD-excellent, regular DVD-very good, regular TV programming-average. Sound quality: very good. Remote Control: looks good and easy to operate. Setup: relatively easy. Cons: It takes at least half an hour to perform Auto Channel Search, just like the manual says. The manual also indicates that it takes more than 24 hours to complete the onscreen TV guide setup. So far it has been more than a week, but the status info still shows "In Progress", or no TV guide yet! Price: still way too high, even though it has dropped from $6,999 to $5,999. Wait until further price drop if you can!

Panamax M5300-PM 11-Outlet Home Theater Power Conditioner

Improves picture and sound quality. Level 4 Power Cleaning and Filtration eliminates common symptoms of contaminated power (including loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums and visual artifacts) and allows your A/V equipment to perform up to its full capability. Monitors incoming line voltage and provides a visual indication of power level. Panamax¿s patent pending AVM circuitry continuously monitors the incoming power as displayed on the digital voltmeter. In case of an under-voltage or an overvoltage, a flashing red lightning bolt will be displayed in the voltmeter, and power to the connected equipment is automatically turned off if either of these conditions is detected. When voltage returns to a safe level, power to the equipment is automatically reconnected. Reduces cross-contamination between components. The M5300-PM is designed to provide noise isolation between 5 isolated outlet banks (including 1 bank with 2 high current outlets) so that any noise created by an A/V component cannot contaminate the power going to equipment plugged into another outlet bank.
Customer Review: panamax M5300-PM
This unit does everything what Panamax said it would do. I spent alot of time shopping for this type of unit and after what I was told about Panamax and what I seen of it, this was the one for me. The first thing I noticed was how much better the picture quality improved. Some years back I bought Monster's model HTS 3600 and paid $499 for it. It looks like junk compared to this unit. I highly recommend the Panamax M5300-PM.
Customer Review: Equipment Protector
I originally saw this product in Sound Advice for over $500. It is such a great product that truly cleans up the power and signal for your high end entertainment system. I thought with that price I would not purchase it until I saw it on Amazon. Then when I saw the price I purchased it right away. This product does all that it says and makes me feel confident that my equipment is protected at all times. Amazon is the way to purchase electronics when everyone else's prices won't budge.

Add to that a sophisticated, piano black design, 24p capability so you can get the most out of the movies you watch on Blu-ray and DVD, 4 HDMI¿ inputs along with three other HD-capable connections, and what you have is a television that can bring dreams to life.
Customer Review: Once Sony, Never Others Again
Everything is just perfect about this TV. The phrase "You get what you pay for" is so true - you want Sony quality you must pay Sony price. I owned Samsung, Toshiba, Pioneer Elite (some of the aforementioned cost the same or more than the Sony), plus other low-end cheap LCD/HDTV and projection TVs. None of them come close to the picture quality and functionalities of the Sony, nuff said. I was so stupid to be cheap in the past. The cost-quality factor of Sony is among the best, if not the best. So be forewarned, once your eyes get used to the Sony quality, you will never buy something else again unless you really go broke.
Customer Review: OUTSTANDING
BIGGER PICTURE SHOULD BE LESS CLEAR THAN THE SMALLER ONE RIGHT? NOT SO WITH THE SONY BRAVIA 46" IT IS CLEAREER THAN MY OTHER SONY 40" BRAVIA. TURNS OUT THE BRAVIA ENGINE IN THIS SONY HAS BEEN IMPROVED EVEN BETTER. MY CABLE IS NOT EVEN DIGITAL YET AND THE SONY SMOOTHES OUT AND ENHANCES IT SO WELL IT IS AMAZING. I ONLY BUY SONY TV'S AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISSAPOINTED. SURE YOU CAN GET A GENERIC BRAND FOR HALF THE PRICE BUT YOU WILL REGRET IT I PROMISE. MANY BRANDS COST MORE THAN SONY AS WELL. SONY IS ALWAYS THE BEST VALUE FOR MY MONEY AND THEY LAST FOR YEARS AND YEARS. IF THE SONY LASTS ON AVERAGE 50% LONGER THAN THE GENERIC BRAND THEN THAT MAKES UP FOR THE COST RIGHT THERE.

Philips 47PFL7422D/37 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Philips 47" LCD, Widscreen HDTV, 1080p for the highest HD picture performance, Pixel Plus HD Engine for the sharpest pictures possible, Built in ATSC/Qam tuner, 1920 x 1080p resolution, Virtual Dobly Surround Sound for theater like sound experience, Matching swivel stand, USB connect for easy multi-media playing, 2xHDMI, CVI and S-Video inputs.
Customer Review: Good screen with limited control
Do not let the three-star review concern you too much, I am pleased with this television purchase. However, the picture quality, clarity, and color saturation are not great but still a good value at the price. Similarly, the sound control is nightmarish. Anyone using this screen for television watching is advised to keep the set permanently muted and to wire the sound through ANY other speaker you can find. All in all, this is an average screen at a somewhat below average price. I would recommend this as a nice step into flat screen technology for those who aren't looking to drop the additional hundreds/thousands for a Samsung or Pioneer set but still want the improvements in television technology.
Customer Review: Great TV for a great price!
I've helped 2 friends buy & install this TV. Both have been thrilled with it. Great picture & easy setup make this model a winner!

Pronto Wireless Extender

The RFX9400 Pronto 802.11g Wireless Extender is a compact unit with four individually addressable IR outputs. Addressable IR ports enable control of the same type of devices in a rack independently by the same extender. As a result the device will only receive the IR codes that are intended for this device and not for any other. The Pronto system uses standard WiFi for wireless control but has added an additional smart protocol to guarantee a reliable and timely execution of IR codes and macros. The smart 2-way Pronto protocol regulates the commands that are sent from the Pronto control panel to the extenders. Each extender will acknowledge the execution and you will be informed in case a command cannot be executed. The powerful IR-circuit is capable of transmitting virtually any IR code. Where many remote control systems are limited to 125 kHz, the Pronto extenders can send IR-frequencies to up to 1 MHz. The extender works out of the box in stand-alone mode and requires no special settings. When encryption or fixed IP is desired, the internal web browser is available through a PC or laptop. Colored LED's provide information about the system, such as Ethernet or WiFi connections, busy status or execution of an IR relays command. Unique Pronto protocol guarantees best-in-class control Smart feedback provides immediate system information Emits IR codes up to 1MHz Compact tabletop housing Smart feedback indicators for easy troubleshooting Encryption security - WEP 128 bit, WEP 64 bit 4 IR emitter connectors Network mode - DHCP, Fixed IP Error indication - LED Configuration via webserver CPU - Freescale 32 bit RISC CPU speed - 266 MHz Addressable IR output - Adjustable IR output level Addresses (ID's) - 16 Frequency (GHz) - 2.4 WiFi based Dimensions - Width 6.2? x Depth 3.9? x Height 1.3?
Customer Review: Not their fault, item had problems.
I had a problem with the extender but the company was absolutely great helping me out. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. They stood behind their products and I appreciate that. 5 stars to the company. Thanks.
Customer Review: Works like a charm
Bought this with some sceptisism but works absolutely perfect. Once you have it hooked up to your network and your Pronto 9400 control panel setup to use it, it works without a hitch. Great product and would recommend to anyone.
