Customer Review: MehIt does what it needs but its pretty cheap. The rubber covering in a few places has cracked leaving the wires exposed, the plastic casing has cracked along the seam and needed to be taped to keep the internals of the adapter from falling out. Edit. Seriously DO NOT buy this, after half a year of use it just hardly works. For me it takes 3 hours to charge compared to my original which takes an hour and the wire for the plug has to be in a certain position.
Customer Review: Worked at first, but then had problems
While I had misgivings about buying an off-brand laptop charger, I couldn't pass up the price. The item arrived quickly, and seemed to work fine at first. Within 3 months, I started having problems: 1)It started running hot, which I noticed first because the label on the brick came off because the heat melted the adhesive. I just thought it was cheap adhesive and didn't think much of it. 2)The part of the cord that covers the wires inside it separated in 2 places (on either side of the power brick), leaving the wires inside exposed. Because I use this at home, not traveling, and don't move it around much, I thought I could just be careful, and it wouldn't matter. 3)As of today, the power is now cutting out intermittently, and I'm worried it will do damage to my laptop. I have it plugged into a surge-protected power supply, and like I said, I'm not moving this around, so I don't know why this is happening. I sent an email message to the seller today, describing these problems, and hopefully they will offer and exchange/refund. But next time I'll go with the Toshiba charger and pay the extra money.
