Customer Review: Brilliant, but at a cost!
Not really sure if it was worth all that money, but the picture is brilliant. With my PS3 playing Bluray, this TV is the best! Am absolutely satisfied. The only thing I saw was, it took sometime (couple of seconds) to change inputs. Not sure if it was due to my Denon receiver or the TV itself. Sometimes it is a bit annoying, and also when we switch the inputs, the top information about the signal selection stays for a few seconds which I felt was again a bit annoying.

I bought this TV more than a week ago. Here are my reviews: Pros: Picture quality: BD-excellent, regular DVD-very good, regular TV programming-average. Sound quality: very good. Remote Control: looks good and easy to operate. Setup: relatively easy. Cons: It takes at least half an hour to perform Auto Channel Search, just like the manual says. The manual also indicates that it takes more than 24 hours to complete the onscreen TV guide setup. So far it has been more than a week, but the status info still shows "In Progress", or no TV guide yet! Price: still way too high, even though it has dropped from $6,999 to $5,999. Wait until further price drop if you can!

This unit does everything what Panamax said it would do. I spent alot of time shopping for this type of unit and after what I was told about Panamax and what I seen of it, this was the one for me. The first thing I noticed was how much better the picture quality improved. Some years back I bought Monster's model HTS 3600 and paid $499 for it. It looks like junk compared to this unit. I highly recommend the Panamax M5300-PM.

Everything is just perfect about this TV. The phrase "You get what you pay for" is so true - you want Sony quality you must pay Sony price. I owned Samsung, Toshiba, Pioneer Elite (some of the aforementioned cost the same or more than the Sony), plus other low-end cheap LCD/HDTV and projection TVs. None of them come close to the picture quality and functionalities of the Sony, nuff said. I was so stupid to be cheap in the past. The cost-quality factor of Sony is among the best, if not the best. So be forewarned, once your eyes get used to the Sony quality, you will never buy something else again unless you really go broke.

Customer Review: Good screen with limited control
Do not let the three-star review concern you too much, I am pleased with this television purchase. However, the picture quality, clarity, and color saturation are not great but still a good value at the price. Similarly, the sound control is nightmarish. Anyone using this screen for television watching is advised to keep the set permanently muted and to wire the sound through ANY other speaker you can find. All in all, this is an average screen at a somewhat below average price. I would recommend this as a nice step into flat screen technology for those who aren't looking to drop the additional hundreds/thousands for a Samsung or Pioneer set but still want the improvements in television technology.

This is a wonderful item at a great price. For the purpose of watching movies and streaming video from the internet on your television screen this is perfect - VERY clear picture and straightforward menu. Setup was also extremely easy, although the written instructions are obviously translated from another language, and not translated very well. Stick to the illustrated setup instructions although those with even the minimum of computer skills will figure out how to set up the product very quickly. I would recommend this product.

This camera is positively awesome. Many pro-style features in a camera priced at an intermediate level. 7x optical zoom (vs, typical 3 or 5 from most cameras), two types of image stabilization, and, you can preview, on-screen, 4 different exposure settings for the same shot, and pick the one you like before shooting. There's in-camera editing, including cropping, retouching and other functions. There are more preset exposure settings than most people typically use. Create 3-panel wide panoramic shots in-camera, "frame" and add text or make a calendar out of each photo...and you can add 4 seconds of sound to each shot. Even with all these features...you can still set it on Auto...and your Mom, who's VCR is STILL flashing 12:00, can use it and take great shots. Giant lcd screen makes previews easy to see, even in less than stellar situations. I love this camera...and after seeing the results and the rich feature set...three of my friends have already purchased their own. I don't make many purchases without doing my homework...and this one stood out. Check the ratings on www.alatest.com where 24 pros and almost 700 typical end-users scored it a 90%, excellent, rating. Highly recommended.

I took this camera on vacation to Costa Rica, zoom worked great. It was my backup camera to my 20x zoom. This one was great becasue I was able to put it in my pocket and go. I've blown up a couple pictures to 8x10 portraits and they look really good. All of my pictures were taken during day time! I had a little trouble with pictures in low light, but I didn;t really play with the features, so its probably just me. Really like the small size of it and the zoom capabilities. well worth it!

On the Olympus site, this cprd would have cost me $29.99 + $7 shipping (for a cord?) This cord is a great price but dosent slide in as easy as my original Olympus cord. When I received the cord, intially it seemed as if it didn't fit. I was getting ready to send it back, but i tried again. You have to kind of force it in but it works. i feel this will screw up the mechnisim of the usb port....eventually. But you get what you pay for.

Customer Review: Good, but where are the audio outputs???
I bought this system because it was highly rated by a consumer group as having excellent sound. They're right - it sounds awesome with soundtrack-heavy DVD's. However, I'm going to get rid of it because I already have an extensive home theater system that I don't want to replace, and there is NO WAY to output from this receiver to my current system!! Rather, I can output VIDEO, but not AUDIO. What kind of idiot at Panasonic decided that no one would want to output audio? Granted, the speakers that come with it are great, and the dialog-enhancement feature makes it much easier to hear what the actors are actually saying (you'll hear dialog that you totally miss at the theatre.) It would be a great system for someone who has nothing else they need to hook up - thus the 4 stars. For me, however, it's just a few hookups short of basic utility.
Customer Review: Nothing but Disappointment, and I'm Not Alone!
Just like a previous reviewer, R. Adams from Austin, I have had nothing but the very same problems with my Panasonic home theatre. It is alarming to hear that he has had the same lack of customer service from Panasonic that I have experienced. Since day #1, I experienced major problems with it. After nearly five hours of disassembling my old speakers and putting this one together, I began to test it with a DVD. Within minutes, the sound shut off altogether. The movie still played, but the volume was nonexistant. I went over everything again... EVERYTHING... and tried again. Same problem. I had to turn the unit off and then on again, and the volume was back, but it happened repeatedly. It became almost comical; you buy something like this to upgrade your movie-watching experience, and instead, it turned what little leisure time my family is afforded into misery, and I am honesty not exaggerating. I've tried contacting Panasonic four times regarding this issue; the first time, they told me to take the entire system apart, make sure none of the wires are frayed, and put it back together again. It had taken me hours to put the thing together to begin with, and I'd already done exactly what they had said to do, but still, I moved furniture, traced all the wires to make sure they were fine and unfrayed, and put everything together again. Still, nothing. I watched "Phantom of the Opera" one night just to see how often the sound cut out... it took almost four and a half hours to watch the movie, and I had to re-start the theatre a mind-blowing 214 times. Panasonic never responded to any of my further inquiries. Evidently, the had stolen my money and that was good enough for them. I will never buy any Panasonic product again, almost entirely based on he way Panasonic failed to address the problem. I feel robbed.

The rubber covering in a few places has cracked leaving the wires exposed, the plastic casing has cracked along the seam and needed to be taped to keep the internals of the adapter from falling out. Edit. Seriously DO NOT buy this, after half a year of use it just hardly works. For me it takes 3 hours to charge compared to my original which takes an hour and the wire for the plug has to be in a certain position.
Customer Review: Worked at first, but then had problems
While I had misgivings about buying an off-brand laptop charger, I couldn't pass up the price. The item arrived quickly, and seemed to work fine at first. Within 3 months, I started having problems: 1)It started running hot, which I noticed first because the label on the brick came off because the heat melted the adhesive. I just thought it was cheap adhesive and didn't think much of it. 2)The part of the cord that covers the wires inside it separated in 2 places (on either side of the power brick), leaving the wires inside exposed. Because I use this at home, not traveling, and don't move it around much, I thought I could just be careful, and it wouldn't matter. 3)As of today, the power is now cutting out intermittently, and I'm worried it will do damage to my laptop. I have it plugged into a surge-protected power supply, and like I said, I'm not moving this around, so I don't know why this is happening. I sent an email message to the seller today, describing these problems, and hopefully they will offer and exchange/refund. But next time I'll go with the Toshiba charger and pay the extra money.

Customer Review: Does not down-convert component video for Zone 2 or PiP
I bought this because I wanted to use it's Zone 2 video, and PiP (picture-in-picture) features. I knew going in that the Zone 2 Video output was composite only, and that the receiver turns off HDMI output when you use PiP, but that was OK for my purposes. Unfortunately, the unit does *not* down-convert component video input sources, for Zone 2 or PiP output. In other words, if for example you have a DVD player hooked up using component cables, you can't view it in Zone 2. The only thing you can view in Zone 2 (or PiP) is something that comes from a composite source. The manual says any analog video source can be output to Zone 2. Sony's web site says "Component and S-video sources can be down converted to lower resolution outputs, thus customizing video connectivity to home theater requirements from a single source. Also, both receivers can take HD sources from component video and downconvert the signal for use with composite or S-Video ouputs. This is ideal for distributing video through multiple rooms with less wires." I couldnt notice any significant upscaling from my s-video input. Audio wouldnt come throught the HDMI cable. Occasionally when you change the input, either the video or audio stops. and you had to switch off and back on again to get both back.

Purchased this product (Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom) after seeing a friends during a recent cruise. Previously owned a Sony Cyber-shot 3.2mp - it was an old trusty camera but had a small screen 1.25 X 0.875 and the Canon was much larger. The cannon has more (and very interesting) features than I will ever use and takes superb pictures - portraits, machinery, indoors and out, close ups (including digital closeup), color transfer, etc. There are other upper end Canon models but the screen is smaller and the size is slightly larger with even more features. This one is highly recommended and easy to use. Be sure to shop for a 4 or 8gb SD Memory card so you can take and store 2,000 + pictures on the camera. The 32mb card with the camera is too small. I also purchased a USB 2.0 SD/SDHC/MMC Card Reader / Writer by HDE for around $ which worked great for me (although there were bad reviews - how wrong can you go for bucks - purchase it new) Enjoy! dennis

This laptop bag is perfect. I bought this last March for my travel to the Philippines from Cleveland. This bag was a real security-friendly at the airport. I didn't take out my laptop from the bag since I didn't put anything in the only-laptop section of the bag. I put all the laptop's accessories in the other half section of the bag. All I did was slid the zipper to spread it like a butterfly then lay the bag flat on the conveyor. The TSA didn't ask me to take the laptop out from Cleveland airport to LAX to HKG then to the Philippines. The section where I slid the zipper to spread the bag like a butterfly had two elastic pocket that held my passport and boarding pass that made it very convenient for me to retrieve those two travelling papers whenever ask by the airport personnel. My 15.4 laptop fitted in this very light bag. It's lighter than my old laptop bag but serve the same bump protection. It had sling so I hang it on my shoulder when my hands were full and it had holder for the trolley when I wanted to put it above my trolley. Worth buying.

I've been researching netbooks for a few weeks now. And I had thought that the S10 would be exactly what I needed. But it is NOT. Please read on.... 1) Buyers need to be aware that there is an S10e and an S10. They are different. 2) In general the S10 (not the "e" either)does NOT come with built in bluetooth. 3) I thought that he SIM card slot could be useful with my carriers data plan. So, I went to the Lenovo site and looked up the "S" series netbooks. There's an S10 and S10-2. And on the bottom left of the page is a link to a PDF file that contains S-series specifications. Upon looking that file over I found a model that has bluetooth. And since I was not sure if the model offered on Amazon had bluetooth or not I decided to ask their online chat (link at the top-right of the lenovo page). Here's the conversation we had - Jonathan Stephens: Thank you for choosing Lenovo chat. My name is Jonathan (REP ID: CZ7). How may I help you? Customer: I have questions regarding the S10 netbooks. Customer: This model - Lenovo IdeaPad S10-1311UBK6 is sold at Amazon. Does it have Bluetooth? Jonathan Stephens: No it does not. Customer: Ok, what S10 model number do I need to look for in order find one with Bluetooth? Jonathan Stephens: None are sold with integrated Bluetooth on . I wanted a spare laptop and the netbook seemed the way to go. The S10 is simply great. It has exceptional build quality, great screen, and has all the features I need: long battery life, VGA out,card reader, space for a modem card. The Wifi works better than my expensive laptop. Consider the Ideapad as good (or better) as the Thinkpad!

I would highly recommend this to anyone with a 17 inch laptop! I have a 17" Toshiba and was having a hard time finding a bag or a sleeve to fit it. I even took my laptop to Best Buy to try things out and the bags (shoulder or backpack) were either ginormous or didn't fit, and the sleeves were not easy to use. This sleeve is PERFECT- nice and snug, I don't have to worry about zippers scratching the laptop or breaking. It does have a bit of a smell to it but it will fade- definitely NOT a reason to not buy this! Hope this review helps you make a decision!
